The NIBCO® P-Trap with solder cups is designed for use in refrigeration systems, specifically on the suction line of a compressor. It prevents oil from draining back into the compressor during shutdowns by creating a loop that directs the line to the floor before running it vertically upward. To ensure optimal performance and prevent high-velocity buildup, additional P-Traps are added for every 20 feet of riser pipe.
